ELEANOR DAVIN

Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor

Eleanor began painting as a young girl. Even though her passion was with painting, she attended art school to pursue graphic design and illustration. This led to employment as a graphic designer and technical illustrator working for Xerox, IBM, General Electric and Art Director for a children's museum. Along with additional college courses in studio art and technical training as a graphic designer, the combination of the two prepared her for a career as a professional fine artist.

“A painting brings the subject to life and it's a way for me to interpret a small part of the beauty in this world.” People often tell me they feel they are in my paintings or standing right there. This is one of the best compliments an artist can receive. I have a fascination with the play of light on subjects and scenes that carry you into the distance as far as the eye can see.

Eleanor teaches classes to share her love of painting with others. Included in her subjects you'll find portraits of people, animals, homes, seascapes and landscapes. Her art is enjoyed by clients in the US and abroad. This keeps her painting and gives inspiration to pursue her next work of art.
